Chinese gadget and appliance maker Xiaomi has launched its Mi Band 2 wearable fitness tracker in India, after unveiling it in China back in June .
The device brings some notable upgrades from the first version, including an OLED display that shows the time, your steps and your heart rate; it also boasts 20 days of battery life on a single charge.
The Mi Band 2 pairs with the Mi Fit app on your phone to measure your running distance and calorie burn. The company says it’s also water resistant to the extent that it can handle splashes, and can track your sleep by monitoring your heart rate. And as with the previous model, the wearable can remotely unlock your phone.
The device will go on sale later this month at Rs. 1,999. It’ll be available through annoying flash sales on Xiaomi’s site on 27 September at 12pm and on Amazon on 30 September at 12am. Good luck getting your hands on one in under two seconds.
